Sporting Clube de Goa will lock horns with Bengaluru FC in the HERO I-League at Kanteerava Stadium, Bangalore on Tuesday. The kick off time is 7pm and is being telecast live on Ten Action.

Sporting Goa drew with Shillong Lajong 1-1 on Saturday and then flew out to Bengaluru the following day.

Bengaluru on the other hand sat out the last round and have had a ten day break since their 1-0 victory over Salgaocar. The two clubs met last month where Bengaluru triumphed 3-1, although that was before Sporting Goa strengthened their squad.

Bengaluru are starting the first of three home games on the trot and their Coach Ashley Westwood believes his team are peaking at the right time and wants his players to stay focussed and concentrate.

“Sporting Clube de Goa has improved in the last few weeks. They’ve got two really capable forwards now. They look a rebound side,” remarked the Bengaluru Coach.

“We have been playing some good football. The introduction of Odafa has helped lift our team,” remarked the Sporting Goa Coach Mathew D’Costa.

The other danger man for Sporting Goa is Captain Anthony Wolfe who is currently enjoying a good run in form, netting 3 goals in the last two games which took his tally for the season to 15 in all competitions.

Bengaluru are second in the standings with 17 points from ten matches and will be looking to close in on league leaders Mohun Bagan who are currently enjoying a four point lead and a game in hand.

Sporting Goa is bottom of the table with 5 points from ten matches and a win would see them move above Shillong Lajong who has 7 points from nine games.

When Sporting Goa travelled to Bengaluru last season the game ended in a goalless draw.
